Set in the Colne Valley, White Colne is part of the less well known North Essex countryside and today offers both residents and visitors access to beautiful scenery including riverside walks, open meadows and ancient woodland where a wide variety of wildlife flourishes.

The village is small but plays host to a number of groups and activities as well as many thriving businesses. Our unique village hall is the old stationmaster’s house which was attached to the now defunct  Colne Valley and Halstead railway line.

As well as the Parish Council, we have two committees which work for the benefit of our community. The Village Hall Management Committee  and the Events Committee. The Hall Committee has  worked tirelessly over the last few years, to transform the interior of the hall, and the Events Committee, equally hardworking, run a full programme of events in the village, helping to raise funds for village projects.  There is always space for new volunteers, so don’t be shy, do please get in touch through this web  site. You will be most welcome.
