Main points from the meeting in 20th March 2018.
Planning – no comments on 18/00148 Little Whites Bures Road. Rear storey extension.
ECC Land at rear of village hall. A meeting with our agent and ECCs agent in February agreed terms for the transfer of the hall to the PC under a Comminity Transfer Asset. ECC agent agreed to push for this to be finalised by the end of March. Unfortunately PCs solicitor is still awaiting paperwork from ECC legal dept.
The web site is now fully updated and up and running. The next newsletter will be delivered this month as an Easter edition and will contain details and agenda for the Annual Electors meeting on April 17th.
It was agreed to advertise the Friends of the Meadows initiative on the website and Nextdoor now that we are into Spring.
Problems with litter was discussed. It was agreed to ask BDC to lend us litter picking equipment for a special litter picking and clean up day (date to be organised) The Chairman reported that she had received an email from a 10 year old resident saying that we should have a clean up our village day. The young girl had also designed a poster which could be used to advertise the event. BDC would be asked for a further supply of mauve bags.
Mandates for Unity Bank were signed allowing the PC to use Internet banking for the first time. Unity Bank had been recommended by other PCs and the Essex Association of Local Councils. The Unity bank account will be run in tandem with the existing Nat West account for a trial period
